sigh. It seems now I have to eat my own words :-(
after reboot the change does not seem to make difference at all :(

        the log below includes patched usbhid, unpatched usbhid
        (usbhid-idle), as well as plugging in and unplugging cable.

PS : I have tried out wireshark/ethereal for usb (from svn) and it is very 
nice, the ground work is there, and only more advanced decoding is 
missing.
