It looks as if the opposite has happened, e.g. it was not set before,
but is set now:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]$ grep CONFIG_USB_HID_POWERBOOK /boot/config-2.6.*
/boot/config-2.6.19-1.2877.fc7:CONFIG_USB_HID_POWERBOOK=y
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]$ ls /boot/config*
/boot/config-2.6.18-1.2849.fc6  /boot/config-2.6.9-16.EL
/boot/config-2.6.19-1.2877.fc7
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]$ 

Although in truth this is not a PPC system, so... I'll get you the
right info about this, thanks for the hint.
