Robert thanks for the info. At Alan's suggestion I combined your patch with
another and sent it to Greg (and CCd you).

As a side note, I thought it was worth noting that it appears your patch was
in the wrong format. If you ever need to send in another, have a look at
Documentation/SubmittingPatches first.
