That's one of the reasons I suggested she look at AIO sooner, rather than later. :) It should be perfectly reasonable to expect userspace to just deliver a bunch of AIO requests, one per ISO packet, with lio_listio() instead of trying to talk in terms of urb->iso_frame_desc[] packet arrays.
