It's possible, but not likely, especially in this context. The switch
happens when an application keeps a device open across a reconnect,
so it's not very dependent on CPU speed. It's not a race. Also, usbmon
is comparatively lightweight in hooks. Unless cat somehow manages to
affect the scheduling of the application (pilot-link), I don't see it.
