Yes. There is a patch that allows control of autosuspend on a per device
basis for all USB devices. I can send you it, if you'd like to try.

I had thought of the opposite actually. To wake the mouse if you use
eg. the keyboard. I think both we'll be needed. It'll be included in future
versions.
