Do you mean "how my X driver can consume all events without levaing anything to the default X mouse driver feeding off /dev/input/mice"? Well, mousedev multiplexor is evil and as soon as X drivers start support hotplugging of input devices we will kill it. But for now your X digitizer driver can do EVIOCGRAB ioctl ensuring that it will be the only recepient of events produced by the device in question.
