Well.... your patch need some changes to please Paulus but it would still be nice to have them. The main issue right now is that he wants the old code to still be there triggered by the ioctl, and the new code be a duplicate. I think his main issue is mostly that he hates the freezer and doesn't want it :-) Oh and he doesn't quite trust the people hacking the core PM stuff not to break things all the time :-) But once that work is done, it will be easier to consolidate bits until the differences are down to mostly nothing and we can actually get rid of the ioctl.
