Hi I am using slackware-10.2(2.4.31),i applied linux-2.4.23-kgdb-1.9.patch to the same, when i start the target machine , it waits for the connection from the development machine , and when i start the gdb ./vmlinux on development machine the target machine will boot , but i am not seeing any messages on development machine. The steps i followed was as follows I enabled * KGDB: Remote (serial) kernel debugging with gdb * KGDB: Thread analysis * KGDB: Console messages through gdb * Kernel messages buffer length shift (0 = default) Compiled the kernel, copied the image to target machine & booted the same.
Then on development machine i started gdb ./vmlinux set the serial port & speed of the port. and used continue command. Looking forward to sugestions.
