Which settings did you change? Other people might be able to benefit from your experience. (Incidentally, this does appear to confirm my guess that the original problem lay in the communication between the enclosure and the drive.) > Just a question, Wasn't the usb-storage error messages misleading ? What error messages are you talking about? Your original posting didn't have _any_ usb-storage error messages. (Go back and look; the only lines labelled "usb-storage" were about device scanning and didn't mention any errors.) The debug logs did include error messages, but I don't think they were misleading.
