I have a bit of an annoying problem (beyond those my wife would mention
=)... When my system is up and running and I turn on my USB printer
(Epson Stylus Photo 870), everything works just fine. If my printer is
already on when I turn on my computer, though, the printer module is not
loaded and I need to either power cycle my printer or manually load
printer.o.
This is with the 2.4.2 kernel, modutils 2.4.3, usbutils-0.7 (patched)
and pciutils 2.1.8 (patched).
Anye ideas? Any info I didn't provide that'd be useful? It's a minor
problem and not terribly troublesome, but you would think that the
driver would be loaded at boot time if the printer were on when the
machine booted.
