I have been successfully using this CDRW with the 2.4 series of kernels by
adding -DCONFIG_USB_STORAGE_HP8200e to the EXTRA_CFLAGS in the Makefile in
drivers/usb/storage (Why is this necessary anyway?).
With the latest kernel release 2.4.2 I am getting the following errors
after performing the usual steps.
Mar 7 06:35:03 localhost kernel: hub.c: USB new device connect on bus1/1,
assigned device number 2

Is there a new process for getting this driver to work?
Also what is the difference between using usbmgr and the hotplug scripts.
thanks, Iain.
