I've had my HP8200e working for a few weeks when plugged into my laptop.
I've recently tried to get it working with a different machine and am
encountering some problems. I get the following in /var/log/messages:

Mar 10 21:19:46 wooginator kernel: usb.c: USB device 2 (vend/prod
0x3f0/0x207) is not claimed by any active driver.

But, when I manually load usb-storage, the drive works.

I have the following in /lib/modules/2.4.2/modules.usbmap:

usb-storage 0x000f 0x03f0 0x0207 0x0001 0x0001
0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00
0x00 0x00000000

Isn't this the line that claims the 8200e for usb-storage? What am I
missing?

It's really not that big a deal to manually load it, it just clashes with my
sensibilities.

Thanks
Mike
