Hi all:
I was trying to hook up a AIptek
HyperVcam to my linux box, version 2.2.17.
I downloaded the driver for
OV511 from http://alpha.dyndns.org/ov511 , (1.25
backport), I also downloaded and applied the USB backport patch usb-2.4.0-test2-pre2-for-2.2.16-v3.diff.gz
.
Everything seems fine, and I
rebuild the kernel and module.
after I install all the modules,
the log message showed that "
usb.c: registered new driver ov511
ov511.c: USB OV511 camera found ov511.c: camera: generic model (no ID) ov511.c: Sensor is an OV7610 usb.c: ov511 driver claimed interface c388cce0 ov511.c: ov511 driver version 1.34 (2.2.x) registered Than, I use vidcat -s 640x480 > test.jpg.
it did produced a test.jpg file, and the led on
the camera blinked. but it's not actuallly a jpeg file. It's a ascII
file
BTW, I use w3cam 0.6.6 as application which
includes vidcat!
Could you give me any clue? what 's the possible
reason?
Thanks for the help if any!
