I'm new to the list.
I've had success with ptal and my HP G55. I got both the
scanner and the printer working.
I've noticed when using gtop that ptal takes a lot of the CPU
when I'm not even printing? Is this a USB thing, or something to be worked
out in ptal?
I'm using the CVS version of ptal from Thursday
(?).
Also, I had a problem printing through Netscape 6.0. I'm
not sure if this was a problem with netscape. I was at a yahoo.com news
article and tried to print it. It printed both the yahoo header and
footer, but not the body (haven't had a chance to try other sites, but don't see
why it would be any different). It looked like it was trying to print, but
wasn't actually printing anything (ie: the print head was going back and forth,
but no Ink). And no the printer wasn't out of Ink. To confirm that I
printed the page in windose.
Any known problems with Netscape? StarOffice seemed
fine.
