Hello everyone,

I'm one of the unlucky owners of the DSL modem from Alcatel. I've been
trying to get the damn thing to work since the driver was released without
luck. I encounter no problem in compiling and patching the kernel, but as
soon as I attempt to run the Alcatel mgmt binary(after insmoding the
speedtch module), i get the following in my log

Apr 19 18:19:58 theblairwitch kernel: usb.c: registered new driver Alcatel
SpeedTouch USB
Apr 19 18:20:04 theblairwitch Speedmgmt[207]: Alcatel SpeedTouch USB
Management
daemon started.
Apr 19 18:20:04 theblairwitch Speedmgmt[207]: (C) Alcatel 2001, Version

Apr 19 18:20:04 theblairwitch Speedmgmt[207]: bulk_read: Invalid argument
Apr 19 18:20:04 theblairwitch Speedmgmt[207]: bulk_write: Invalid argument

Apr 19 18:20:05 theblairwitch Speedmgmt[207]: USBDEVFS_SUBMITURB: Invalid
argument

I'm running the 2.4.2 kernel, with the required modutil version. My
motherboard is an ASUS P5A with the Alladin V chipset.

Any comments/ideas would be appreciated

Yiannis.
