Markus, please add a USB Host-controller section to your devices list.
This seems like a major hole in your device list.
Regarding USB host-controllers for laptops, the Belkin Busport Mobile
works great. It is a Cardbus device and works with the usb-ohci
host-controller driver. The card works with the new Hotplug system that
you can download from http://linux-hotplug.sourceforge.net.
