Please provide the contents of /proc/bus/usb/devices with this modem
connected. If that file doesn't exist, please refer to
http://www.linux-usb.org and read the USB Guide and FAQ.

You may not be able to. Many of the cheap USB modems are
controllerless/softmodems/winmodems. There is still no support under Linux for
these devices. If you can send the logs, we can tell.
