I found a link on http://www.buzzard.org.uk/jonathan/scanners-usb.html to a message from Paul Mackerras who claims to have his umax 1220u working under linux, however this message is 1.5 years old and I cannot find anything newer than that. Does anyone have any more information on this? I would love to get my umax 1220u working as well. There doesn't seem to be any Sane support for this scanner, does anyone know of any other software that works with this scanner.
