After some experiment with kernel 2.2.19 I migrated to 2.4.5 Kernel to
make
my Jaz USB working.
after loading these modules:
        usbcore
        uhci
        usb-storage
a entry on /proc/scsi/ appears like usb-storage-0 abd the scsi entry is
saying
IOMEGA Jaz
USB-to_SCSI
..
..

that I can mount is with mount -t vfat /dev/sda4 /iomega.

The issues are:

        a) usb-storage module it takes quite a lot of time to be loaded
        b) is I try to transfer more that 20Mbytes of file the communication
stop working. The shell is hung up a cannot kill the usb-storage
process, I cannot kill the copy command, nothing
However the rest of the system is working but I need to shut
down the PC and typically it does not shut down clean and
it stops at the "umount swap", then I have to turn it off.

I have compiled the kernel by myself with scsi support (generic).

For small file it work file < 10 Mbytes.

The pc is a gateway laptop.

Any Idea ?
