But you are not interacting with any of the USB code on your Linux box
when the USB printer is plugged into your mac.
You are using some kind of network connection, and so you need to
configure your network and printer program (cups, lprng, lpr, etc) to
point to the proper printer.
Not a Linux USB question :)
