Look at:
http://www.suse.cz/development/usb-backport/
for a 2.4.0-test2 -> 2.2.16 patch.
It's not as advanced as 2.2.19 is, which should work lots better for USB
(and shouldn't require you to rewrite your specialized drivers.) Have
you tried 2.2.19 yet?
