2.2.19 has pretty good USB support.
But it doesn't look like the camera is being claimed by the printer
driver. But when you plug the the camera in, you might be sucking too
much power from your bus. Is the hub powered by an external power
supply, or by the USB bus?
And if you just plug in the camera without the printer, does it work
properly?
