o The Kensington 67016 webcam claims to have a true 800x600 pixel
CMOS sensor. Can the SE401 driver, which is documented to support
this device, access pixel data at that resolution? (Frame rate is
unimportant for my use.) What application would be best to test
  this?

o I ask because if the driver and/or API can't handle 800x600, the
  67015 model (640x480) is much cheaper ($60 vs. $100).

o If anyone's interested, the pwc and binary-only pwcx-i386 drivers
work perfectly with a Philips PCVC690 webcam (640x480 CCD). Many
thanks to its author; also for the excellent "camstream"
  application.

o I'm interested in trying a Kensington to compare quality with the
Philips, especially if I can get the extra resolution.
