This looks like a good place to ask :)

I'm trying to see if I can use my memory stick reader in linux...
When I plug it in, it detects as a usb hub on "bus1/2" with 4 ports,
even though it only has 1 slot. When I insert a card, it says

Nov 8 22:04:28 eddie kernel: hub.c: USB new device connect on bus1/2/1, assigned
device number 11
Nov 8 22:04:28 eddie kernel: Manufacturer: Sony
Nov 8 22:04:28 eddie kernel: Product: MSAC-US1

Now, is it possible to mount the stick? If so, what device would I use to
mount it? I've been told it has a fat16 filesystem, so linux should easily
support that no problem...

And do I need to make sure any other modules are compiled/loaded for it to
work?

Thanks,
Dan.
