Hi,
I am one of those students, who heard a lot about linux, but never was
able to actually install linux on my system.
I heard that linux is a very good OS(compared to Windows, thanks to Bill
Gates), but actually I have Windows ME installed on my comp. I tried to do
the disk partition and install but it didn't work, finally one of my friend
was able to get it going with mandrake version but, I couldn't go too far,
because my computer has USB ports for the keyboard, printer, and mouse. I
also have a software modem, people said it wouldn't work with linux. One of
the Tech support guy told me to go to the Linux. com and said I might
probably find something. Here Iam writing you an e-mail.
I am not too much in to the comp. stuff, so I didn't know what they were
saying on the web-site, so I was wondering if I could get any help on this
through e-mail, and here Iam writing you this e-mail, please let me know how
to get my keyboard, mouse, modem and printer working. I think if my mouse
works I might be able to install linux atleast, I hope I will get a reply
from and seriously looking forward to use linux on my system, thanking you.
Yours Sincerely,
Asha.
