Hi to all, because of still being a linux newbie I have problems in installing my Alcatel USB Modem in my Red Hat 7.2 system (Kernel 2.4.7).
I have a HOWTO http://linux-usb.sourceforge.net/SpeedTouch/howto.html but the problem already starts at PPPoA or PPPoE. How can I find out what I need ? Until now the Modem ran under Win2000. The second problem is that I don�t know what version of the hotplugging package I should download and what is it for (now I downloaded the dietversion) ? Has anyone done the whole installation and could maybe help ?
