Your keyboard has two hid interfaces. One of them does the main keyboard, the
other (with Sub=00) does the multimedia keys.

Perhaps you should upgrade the kernel, instead of whining about old
functionality. Or you could ask RedHat about their patches. Or you could even
have searched the list archive:
