I've searched the archives and found this question being asked, but not answered.
I have an IDE/ATAPI CDRW I'd like to use with an USB<->IDE enclosure. I have selected an enclosed with the Scanlogic SL11R-IDE chip (id 04ce:0002) which is supported in the usb-storage driver. I am fairly confident that this enclosure will work to connect an IDE hdd. I've even read a report saying that it works with a CDROM player in it. Is there anything special that could stop an IDE CDRW inside this enclosure from burning CDs? Thanks for any advice/pointers. Please E-mail me directly since I am not on this list (yet).
