I have a problem with my epson stylus photo usb printer (which used to work until some days ago): it prints a few lines and then it stops.
This is what the kernel (2.4.16) says when I turn on the printer: Dec 16 16:23:53 voyager kernel: uhci.c: root-hub INT complete: port1: 93 port2: 80 data: 2 Dec 16 16:23:53 voyager kernel: hub.c: port 1 connection change Dec 16 16:23:53 voyager kernel: hub.c: port 1, portstatus 101, change 1, 12 Mb/s Dec 16 16:23:53 voyager kernel: hub.c: port 1, portstatus 103, change 0, 12 Mb/s Dec 16 16:23:53 voyager kernel: hub.c: USB new device connect on bus1/1, assigne d device number 4 Dec 16 16:23:53 voyager kernel: usb.c: kmalloc IF c057fd20, numif 1 Dec 16 16:23:53 voyager kernel: usb.c: new device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, Ser ialNumber=0 Dec 16 16:23:53 voyager kernel: usb.c: USB device number 4 default language ID 0 x409 Dec 16 16:23:53 voyager kernel: Manufacturer: EPSON Dec 16 16:23:53 voyager kernel: Product: USB Printer Dec 16 16:23:53 voyager kernel: printer.c: usblp0: USB Bidirectional printer dev 4 if 0 alt 0 Dec 16 16:23:53 voyager kernel: usb.c: usblp driver claimed interface c057fd20 Dec 16 16:23:53 voyager kernel: usb.c: kusbd: /sbin/hotplug add 4 Dec 16 16:23:53 voyager kernel: usb.c: kusbd policy returned 0xfffffffe (END) After a few lines, the printer hangs and nothing happens. Sometimes I receive the following message: Dec 16 16:05:09 voyager kernel: usb_control/bulk_msg: timeout Dec 16 16:05:09 voyager kernel: printer.c: usblp0: error -110 reading printer st atus sometimes nothing is written in the syslog. Could this be a hardware problem with the printer? -- http://digilander.iol.it/42 _______________________________________________ [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe, use the last form field at: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/linux-usb-users
