Hello, everyone. Please help me to sey up my USB mouse.

I have just bought Microsoft compatible Wheel Mouse Optical USB
and recompiled my kernel, but my mouse does not work.

I am running Debian GNU/Linux Potato with Linux Kernel 2.2.20.
In many aspects, USB seems to work but mouse does not.

USB Controllers are (At Windows98's System Properties):
VIA Tech 3038 PCI to USB Universal Host Controller, irq 10
IO is d400 - d41F, and d800 - d81F
HID Compliant Mouse.

At compile option (make menuconfig), I have put UHCI code.

Someone told me that I must '32 USB Mouse' line in /proc/misc but I have
not.

I do not know what to do. You can see other /proc files and dmesg under:

/proc/devices
        180 usb

/proc/interrupts
        10: 31 XT-PIC usb-uhci, usb-uhci

/proc/ioports
        d400 - d413 : usb-uhci
        d800 - d813 : usb-uhci

/proc/pci
        BUS 0, device 7, function 2:
USB Controller: VIA Technologies VT 82C586 Apollo USB (rev 14)
          ... blablabla....

and I have nothing under /proc/bus/usb/
The dmesg lines related to usb are:
