I have used it for a short period instead of usb-uhci. My Epson 1240U
scanner was somewhat slower and a portable hard disk I borrowed at work
didn't work (sorry for the pun), and I didn't see any advantages. What I'm
saying is that usb-uhci works better for me, not that uhci doesn't work.
Also, VMware doesn't like uhci, but I could live with that.
I've spent some time looking for a "usb-uhci vs. uhci" document but I
culdn't find any. Could you point me to one if available? What are the
theoretical advantages and differences of the two implementations?
