Works for me (QDI USBDisk w/ usb-storage driver). If the device is no longer connected at shutdown time, but the driver is still there, the kernel complains a bit: Device not ready. Make sure there is a disc in the drive. Device 08:01 not ready. I/O error: dev 08:01, sector 0 Device 08:01 not ready. I/O error: dev 08:01, sector 0 Device not ready. Make sure there is a disc in the drive. The same for 08:02, :03 and :04. As you might have guessed, /dev/sda is the SCSI device associated with usb-storage. Apart from that, the system shuts down much faster now. -- R! _______________________________________________ [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe, use the last form field at: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/linux-usb-users
