Anyone have a good strategy for figuring out which SCSI device a
hotplugged usb-storage device is associated with? (I can do it
manually, but I'd like to do it in a script.)
Specifically, I've got an mp3 player and a digital camera that both
show up as usb-storage devices. They either show up as /dev/sda1 or
/dev/sdb1 depending on the order I plug them in.
I'd like to get a hotplug script working that mounts the appropriate
device on the appropriate /mnt/camera or /mnt/jukebox. The problem is
the hotplug scripts don't tell me where my usb device shows up. As
far as I can tell, parsing /proc/scsi/scsi is my only option. There's
got to be something better, right?
I'll even settle for hardcoding which scsi device they should be
mapped to.
Thanks for any ideas or info. (I'll gladly accept a /proc/scsi/scsi
parsers, too ;)
