It works for any kernel >2.4. The kernel is to be recompiled. select CF option also, when you do config.

I've just bought a Sandisk SDDR-31. Is there any support for
recognizing when a CF card has been plugged in to the device, or do I
have to "poll". I'm hoping there is a "hotplug" event.
