I hope someone can give me a few suggestions. I'm trying to add an HP V40xi Officejet. I have a Gigabyte GA7DXR MB with two built-in USB controllers as well as a PCI USB controller, all UHCI. I'm using 2.4.10 with USB printer support. As far as I can tell, printcap and everything related is correct. The printer is recognized and is listed in /proc/bus/usb/devices.
But nothing prints. I've added a few log calls to the USB printer code and verified that the /dev/usb/lp0 device is being opened. Then the usblp_write procedure is called. This seems to be where it gets stuck. The first urb is submitted but all subsequent attempts find the writeurb.status flag == -EINPROGRESS. I have a USB mouse which works. I've move both the printer and mouse to other ports with no change. Now that I think of it, I've also never been able to get my HP 8200 CDRW to work either on this system; it does work on my laptop. Ideas? Mike Ramsey _______________________________________________ [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe, use the last form field at: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/linux-usb-users
