a) What did you expect to see? b) Did you modprobe scanner? c) Does the driver claim the interface? (see /proc/bus/usb/devices) d) Do you have proper /dev/usb/scanner* device node? Permissions? e) Do you have SANE ready and configured? f) Did you configure the appropriate SANE backend? g) Did you enable SANE backend debugging if necessary? h) Did you succeed with 'scanimage -d<proper_SANE_device_name>' ?
