Linux won't shut down properly. It should be because of the USB because
it only started not rebooting or shutting down when the mouse started
working. It goes through it's normal shutdown routine, then undoes USB
stuff (I don't know if and where a log of this stuff is) and then says
"usb.c: deregestering driver usbdevfs"
After that it just stops and I can't switch terminals or do anything
and i have to reset and my disk ends up not be properly dismounted.

I followed the usbguide. I have hotplug installed on debian woody.
Basically, the guide at www.linux-usb.com explains what I've done to my

system to get my usb mouse set up in X. Now that it works though, linux

won't shutdown.

Any ideas of what's happening here? I have no idea. I've searched on
the web and asked on many boards for help. I don't know how I'm gonan
be able to use linux if I don't get this problem solved.

Thanks.
