Hi,
This is due to bad firmware in the Scanlogic drive itself, and is fairly easily fixed.
If you go to the scanlogic website there is a ( win98 only ) binary you can download
to update the firmware. I did it myself this weekend.
There is also a patch floating around that makes the usb-storage driver work with this
device.
