I have "Prolific USB Cable" that connected Two Pc's by USB port.
Will work properly about win.... but after Linux I don't say to use.
this cable, have proprietary software and driver, and expecially the software
used to permit to see the directory and files not exist for Linux ???
I want to use this device with Linux O.S. (I use the Mandrake distribution at home and
the SUSE at work), and mean time for games.
I have connected two Pc's at home and start the Plusb driver but when I
enter:
ifconfig plusb0 192.168.0.1 pointopoint 192.168.0.2.
and
ifconfig plusb0 192.168.0.2 pointopoint 192.168.0.1.
in the Pc's it will not appear anithing about the screen..
1. Is the correct procedure ????
2. In the Pc's they are running Linux OS or is it possible to start a connection
with two computers still running Linux and to the 2nd WinBugs ???
3. Wich software I use to do it ??? "Samba" for Linux and "Risorse di Rete" for
Win..??
4. After the connection with Linux can see the remote Pc in .....???
5. The application to use for the connection is .......???
