There are a lot of inexpensive ones, I'd stay away from ones with an OPTi chip. If you see one with a NEC chip, they work pretty reliably ... and I'm told that some folk have seen their USB 2.0 adapters at only about fourteen pounds UK, which is a steal (best price I've seen locally is about $US 40 on sale).
