Hi, I have a pegasus-based d-link du-e100 usb network adapter. This works fine for a long time with various kernels up to 2.4.17.
Unfortunately, I have not been able to get it to work well with 2.4.18. The behavior is in fact quite strange. Under normal use, trying modprobe pegasus will bring up a load of error messages like bad ctrl -22. I have been unable to locate information about what this error means (please explain, or send a link to the explanation). The system then freezes. The strange part: If I don't compile in CONFIG_USB_DEVICEFS (the /proc/bus/usb option), then the module *will* work, but with terrible performance. If you need more information, tell me what to do and I will.
