Hi all, Running 2.4.19
All modules compiled and running properly (usbcore, hid, input and mousedev) Also running usbmgr 2.4.8 message shows that all device are detected properly. PROBLEMS : 1. usbmgr does not BEEP when fiddling with devices (been on is in conf file though) 2. (MORE STRANGLY). When I plug in a usb mouse (which is a logitech optical trackball) all relevant modules are loaded (which is OK) however when I do a cat /dev/input/mice (which is the node for the mouse c 13 63) nothing happens (i.e no characters on screen). Also I ran strace cat /dev/input/mice and noticed that read system call DOES NOT RETURN (i.e blocks). This means that no data is returned from the mouse ?????? Modules ARE loaded !!! I noticed that the message that detects the mouse reports HIDDEV0: USB HID ... While google repots that INPUT0: USB HID is also posslble.
