I had the opportunity to get a second hold on the camera this week-end.
After a second try and a clean re-recompile of the kernel, I managed to
make it work perfectly. So I guess it was a possible problem with my
kernel, even though I took care when compiling it the last time.
Anyway, I am happy to announce that the Fuji Finepix 2600zoom is well
supported under kernel 2.4.18.
