1. apcupsd Never used it, but heard that it does provide USB support in later versions. 2. Network UPS tools - http://www.exploits.org/nut Used it, like it. Excellent support for distributed systems (where one system does the monitoring, but other systems using the UPS can also shut down when appropriate.
