Hi all,

I've tried to use MCT U232-P25 ( 0x711/0x230 ) usb-serial convetor
with kernel 2.4.18 ( usb-uhci, usbserial, mct_u232 ) but hasn't got any good
results at all. When I connected to another unix system's serial console
I was able to see received chars but was not able to send any ( 9600 8N1 ).
When I connected to a modem I was able to type AT cmds which were echoed
back ( no local echo ) but they returned no results ( seemed as return was not
delivered ). Anyway when there was no device connected, typing several returns
hanged minicom ( strace showed hang at write ). The same scenarios worked
fine under windows ( I was even able to dial out with attached modem ).

Any hints/solutions/pointers are highly appreciated

Rgds,

Milan
