Hi, It seems to be a Windows problem. Are there any Windows driver to connect the USB cable like a network interface and assign it an IP address? If so, the network connection should be transparent whatever the hardware is netword card or USB cable.
There are some host to host USB cables, designed for Windows, that can be used only for file sharing, with a file sharing driver and program that work only between two windows machine.
