Hello chaps and chapettes,
I've just got hold of the above USB audio pod (3 stereo channels) and
plugged it into a box running downloaded RedHat 7.3. Please find enclosed
the appropriate parts from dmesg and the results of verbose lspci. For those
people interested, the interface is an 8051 variant from TI called a
TUSB3200C and the DACs are provided in a single package by Asahi-Kasei
called AK4527. It is a very simple board and since the I2C EEPROM is
socketed, it is asking to become a platform for SDCC compiled experiments.
Trying to play something with sox failed with several output formats and at
48kHz:
sox /usr/lib/mozilla/res/samples/test.wav -t ossdsp /dev/dsp1
failed causing
usbaudio: set_format_out(): failed to find desired format/speed combination.
to appear (courtesy of dmesg).
I was looking for a bit of guidance as to how I might modify an appropriate
module to support this unit or how I might use libusb to drive the unit. Or
am I being stupid and it works OK already?
