Hello all,... ....being new on that list, first of all, let me say Hello and thanks to all the linux usb developers for the pretty good job they are doing by now. Being pretty much into imaging, I am a lot using related usb-based hardware on my Debian machine and it always worked well. Great work, folks.
Anyhow, being here also to ask a special question regarding one of my recent hardware additions: Having trouble getting images from my digital camera, I bought an usb-based reader device for CF-cards, and the only of those devices available here was a SanDisk ImageMate. It's a dual reader for CF- and MMC-Cards, the package itself only reads ImageMate, and on the bottom of the machine there's printed "SDDR-73". My kernel (2.4.19-pre8-jp13) is able to load the usb-storage driver for that device, but trying to mount it fails with an "sd<whatever> is not a valid block device". /proc/bus/usb/devices says: T: Bus=01 Lev=00 Prnt=00 Port=00 Cnt=00 Dev#= 1 Spd=12 MxCh= 2 B: Alloc= 0/900 us ( 0%), #Int= 0, #Iso= 0 D: Ver= 1.00 Cls=09(hub ) Sub=00 Prot=00 MxPS= 8 #Cfgs= 1 P: Vendor=0000 ProdID=0000 Rev= 0.00 S: Product=USB UHCI Root Hub S: SerialNumber=e000 C:* #Ifs= 1 Cfg#= 1 Atr=40 MxPwr= 0mA I: If#= 0 Alt= 0 #EPs= 1 Cls=09(hub ) Sub=00 Prot=00 Driver=hub E: Ad=81(I) Atr=03(Int.) Querying the list archive didn't help me too much on that, so I'd be happy if someone could point me to some direction where to search for and to hopefully fix this problem.
