We do support a few cable modems (with the experimental CDC Ethernet model
driver). However I haven't see this one before, and can't tell whether it is likely
to work, or not.

If you could get the descriptors (contents of /proc/bus/usb/devices) for the
modem, that would provide a rough indication.
